RICHARD III - MONARCH OF LEICESTER (2018)
WRITER, DIRECTOR, EDITOR, PRESENTER
'Richard III' was my first endeavour into filmmaking. As a part of the University of Warwick's UniTracks program, I - along with 4 other students from my secondary school - were asked to make a documentary about someone unique to our home city. Given that we were from Leicester, we decided that nothing was more unique than the story of finding a king's remains in a car park. Everything I did in this film - writing, directing, editing, and presenting - was my first time doing so, and while there are many parts I'd change if I made this now, I am still proud of the story it tells, and it definitely ignited my passion for the craft.
THAT'S LIFE (2018)
DIRECTOR
Disclaimer: This video is an anthology of 3 films. My film starts at 3:18, so skip to there if you want to see that specifically.

'That's Life' was a film made in collaboration with Glynis Wright & Co, with help from local filmmaker Keith Allott, and is intended to tell the story of parental separation through the eyes of their children. Much like 'Richard III', I had the pleasure of working with other students from my secondary school, Babington Academy - giving me my first proper experience of working with cast and crew. This experience taught me a lot about the value of communication on set, and ultimately lead to us creating a film that I, personally, am extremely proud of. The film even received special commendation from the Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire - Michael Kapur OBE.
MODS - SHAPING A GENERATION (2019)
'Shaping a Generation' was a silent short film made in collaboration with Leicester's New Walk Museum, and was a part of their exhibition on the Mod movement in the UK. This film was my second time working with producer Keith Allott, as well as a handful of crew members from my previous film 'That's Life'. My role in 'Mods' was much less involved than any of my previous projects, and while I was not involved in the directing of all of this, working on this film taught me that I should always put my full effort into a project regardless of my impact on it. At the end of the day, I am proud of the end results, and it is a great privilege for me to have worked on such a creative project.

BREAKING DOWN (2020)
'Breaking Down' was the first film I worked on as part of my studies at Leicester College, and - unlike anything I have worked on before - it was the first project that was entirely made by an independent group of students. Our brief was only to create a short drama, so we decided to create a psychological horror that explored a man being haunted by himself throughout his life. My role in this film was to adapt the original draft of the script, and to work as co-director alongside Gideon Ntim. The independent aspects of this project are what makes it so fond to me, as well as the fact that it is the first time a script I have written has made it into production. As expected, 'Breaking Down' has the most production issues of any of my previous projects - as the filmmakers' adage goes, "something will go wrong". However, as I and my fellow crewmembers worked together to remedy these issues, we were eventually left with a film that we could say was the best culmination of our filmmaking abilities at the time.

PRESENCE: OUR LIVES ONLINE (2021)
'Presence: Our Lives Online' is a documentary that focuses on the implications of the effect that the internet and social media have had on various aspects of our modern society - using a modern, humorous approach based on that of the sense of humour online. Each stage of the production process was done entirely by me, and creating this film allowed me to hone my abilities in cinematography, writing, and most notably, editing.
DEAD QUIET (2021)
This film is made up of multiple parts. If you wish to specifically see the section that I worked on, skip to 4:01.
'Dead Quiet' was a portmanteau (anthology) film that was created as a group final project for my Extended Diploma in TV & Film. Being a portmanteau film, the narrative consisted of multiple somewhat self-contained stories that were all connected through some sort of framing device. Each of these stories - including the framing device - had a different crew in charge of producing them. I acted as the co-writer, director, and editor for my group's section of the film; titled 'Isolation'. This was actually my first time working with a story that I had some part in conceptualising, as well as being the first time that I had worked with an actor who was not a part of the initial cast - which helped to develop my communication skills, as I was not used to working with this person. I would say that this film is the one I take the most pride in, as I managed to fulfil my creative vision to much fuller extent than I ever had before.

THE INTRUDER (2021)
'The Intruder' is the first film I worked on as part of my studies at the University of Salford. I took on the role of directing the script written by William Bradshaw, and then later as colourist and assistant editor during post-production. As pre-production began during the early weeks of my first term, I was working with a team that I had never met prior. This allowed us not only to form bonds as peers, but also to develop our communication and teamwork skills - something that is vital on set. The final film is suspenseful and, visually, I consider it to be the most striking of all the films I have worked on.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, CUT (2022)
Created for the Film Making Practice module in my second year at the University of Salford, 'Lights, Camera, Cut' was my first time being director of photography on a film with such a scale regarding crew, equipment, and budget. In this film, I believe you can see a real development in my skills - particularly in lighting.
